SciFi and Fantasy Art: Aredhel and Eöl

I think he loved her very passionately and suffered because she did't have such strong feelings for him. I've tried to show their emotions here. I like their stroy, although it's so sad... It's my first picture with Tolkien's characters. Yes, even I'm surprised^^' How could it happen? I've been in love with Tolkien's books for years and haven't drawn any illustration... I think it's because I thought it to be to difficult for me. It's done in sanguine and pencil.

And I bet she loved him her own way, but even love will help nothing when you're locked in a cage... Pity he didn't understand it I think you captured them in a moment when she finds out the cage to painful to bear anymore. Magdalena Wolff replies: "You're so right... I believed they loved each other, but weren't able to show it. And also... Aredhel loved freedom and couldn't stand being in a cage.I hope they met each other for they both died - and then explained everything, and were able to forgive..."
