SciFi and Fantasy Art: Dionysos from the Marshland

Goat-horned Holy King, with apples of immortality and a pitcher full of wine. Panther is his animal and he is surrounded by toadstools - which maenads used to become ecstatic.

I think he's too thin on this pic ;) Well, I'll have to try to paint better built people ;) (or gods). The panther is the first big cat I've ever painted so sorry if it looks a bit strange.

17 Sep 2006	Psyche	Loading... Everything is lovely, Magdalena, however I would have on critique - I believe panthers are all black, and that cat there looks more like a cheetah, or a leopard. Very nice picture, though. Magdalena Wolff replies: "Thanks Black panther is not a different species, it's just a panther/leopard coloured in a special way Panther, leopard and lampart - these are names for the same animal."
