Oy Vey and a bucket of grapes!!  *crickets chirping*  Anyway...

**Update** Check out my DeviantArt gallery to see some of my awesome photos and such!!  ^_^

As you can tell, my name is technically Elizabeth.  But my friends call me Liz.  You can call me…Liz.

So, I've revamped this section again, for more accuracy.  Voila!

    • Whoa!  O.o  Where’d you learn how to draw??
    • I always loved it, so I guess you can say I’ve been doing it all my life.  I also had art lessons in my childhood, and then took every kind of art my high school offered.  A lot of my knowledge came from books, first, and then I got to college where they REALLY teach ya how to draw!  So, as you may have guessed, my major’s art.  Well, double major, kinda…I’m eventually going to graduate with honors with a BFA in Studio art (concentration graphic design) and a BA in Art Education.  Which, btw, leads to the next question…
    • So…what are you doing with your life, then?
    • I hope to be a teacher someday!  This country really needs some good ones, especially in the high school level.  Kids in high school are struggling to express themselves, and when they don’t know how, it shows.  Maybe their art “doesn’t look right,” their poetry “doesn’t rhyme,” or their music “sounds like noise.”  So they turn to the only things that they can: drugs.  Alcohol.  Gangs.  Crime.  Promiscuity.  Self injury.  Those crutches that they take on because of pressure, because they think they need it, those crutches that end up taking thousands of kids lives every year.  I want to teach them that they have a voice, and they always will, as long as they follow the rules of line, balance, color, etc.  If they only knew the basics, they could at least create something they like.  Plus, art is a staple for cognitive development.  Hah!  Take that, school board!!
    • Umm…ok.  Then, what’s your favorite medium?
    • So far, I do not have much of a favorite.  Name it, and I've probably done it.  Inks, acrylic, oils, watercolors, gouache, pastels, charcoal, colored pencils, photomanips, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Corel (just recently), rapidograph pens, clay, paper pulp, and anything mixed media, whether 2D or 3D.  Whew!  But I recently got a Wacom Intuos 3 tablet...I am not worthy.  Though I'm trying to learn and to do more with it; it certainly is a wonder!
    •  Geez, do you ever update anymore?
    • I try to, but I don't do quite as much fantasy and sci-fi art as much as I used to; a lot of it is psychological and stuff.  Check out my DeviantArt site if you want to see more broad stuff; plus, it's easier to update so I archive things there more often.  What sucks is you have to be a member to comment...*le sigh*
    • OMG lyk do you have a b/f???
    • Yeah, 'cept we hardly go by that much.  We're promised, and we've been dating "forever," as Jared would say it.  We're best friends, and it looks like we'll be best friends forever, even after we're married...which will probably happen in a few years down the road.  But you didn't hear that from me.  ^_^
    • Political/religious leanings?
    • Some of my stuff here, you may notice, has a spiritual sort of slant or feel to it.  That's because I'm a Christian.  ...  What?  No, no denomination or cult or anything, just plain and simple.  I'm me, and God's God, and I am His.  I'm not afraid to alk about it, but I'm also not going to try and convert you with a...converter wand or something.  I just believe; if you do too, then hey it's great to see another brother/sister in the woods!  If not, then hey, it's good to see you too, come on in and have a look at my scribbles.
    • Yeesh, does this bio ever end?!
    • Yes.  Now.  Only if you leave comments, though!!  Ehh heh…sorry. Comments make my day; I love feedback from you guys, really.  And, if you have any questions on technique or anything, ask and I’ll answer!  I also have tutorials on some of these, especially on my sculpture; check it out!

Well, thanks everyone!  God Bless, and have a great day!

I just wanted to point a very strong point you have: You are excellent in doing faces at every angle! I have a really hard time doing faces other than in profile, straight on, or slightly turned to the side. You always seem to nail the proportions and perspective, though, dead-on in every position. Beautiful gallery!

Conservative Christian Republicans all the way!*triple high tens to you* 2 I'm the same. And I agree with what you say -- the world, especially teens, need good art teachers. Go for it girl! --you've definately got the gift.

I wish I had the time to look at more of your art and leave more comments. I hope to come back later- you seem like a kindred spirit -- ^_^ Plus your aret is absolutely BRILLIANT!

1 Elizabeth Bartlett replies: "::triple high tens back:: Wow, thanks! Awesome comment!!! *grin* Yeah, come back soon! Hehe, nice to see another kindred spirit in the woods!"

Hey Elizabeth! I actually stumbled in here from the recent additions page, and I wanted to let you know that you have amazing art here - really great. I'll be back to leave some more specific comments sometime later, but from reading through your bio I note that you are a Christian, and proud! Well howdy, sis!

(I won't stone you for being a Republican either - I'm not a subscriber to partisan politics, myself, and see the good and evil in both sides).

I also see that you know the Pencil Pirate - Erin Greenleaf, whose comment is just above mine! That's so cool!

Anyhoo.. if you feel like doing some reading, you could do worse than a stop by my shelf. Bye for now!

2 Elizabeth Bartlett replies: "Hey howdy hey!! Might just have to take a break from studying sometime and check out "your shelf," as you call it. ^_^ Glad you stopped by, bro!"

Hey! Took a look at your gallery, and you have some really wonderful pictures. My absolute favorite is "Bound".
Thanks so much for your comments in my library! ^0^ I'm so glad you liked my scribbles. Unfortunately, my computer crashed, and I no longer have the Extranet on Favorites, and thus...I can't do anything! So I'm thanking you here. 2 And also complimenting your drawings! You've got a knack for putting emotions into your art that I envy. Keep up the good work! 1

1 Elizabeth Bartlett replies: "Thanks muchly! I appreciate the comment. I know how computers crashing are; my laptop crashed the week before finals and I lost everything except a DVD I had burned right before it crashed. ^_^ Best wishes to you! ::bow::"
