SciFi and Fantasy Art: Lost Love

Despite popular opinion, the person standing there is NOT a male. SHE is mourning her lover, lost in a drunk driving accident. This was inspired by a poem, which was based on real life. (Nothing in mine, however...) *sighs* Oh, the sadness of it all! This one's not finished yet - more updates later. 2/11/00 Ok, this has been updated... still havn't gotten around to finishing the grass, and I modified her haircut again. I'm not satisfied with that... I think I'll be tinkering with this one for awhile to come! *Grins*

Nice feel to this one. You seem to be continually improving. I'm very impressed with your work. Keep it up!

It really captures the feeling of loneliness. I think we all go through a moment like this in our teenage years, although when I first saw it I thought it was a boy who had been turned down by a girl. I never imagined a car crash or anything like that. But I think a picture should allow the viewer to form his own opinion and it is not always good to give away your source. The unclear sexuality of the subject could actually be a strong point. Remember: keep up the mystery! I believe in this. But overall, I like your picture a great deal.
