SciFi and Fantasy Art: Silly pope

It does come off as a loaded comment, even if not directly critical of the Pope. In that I would say Mr. Ward has a right to the opinion he voiced, even if he did not leave it open to debate. We all have beliefs and ideals we hold close to our hearts, and such reactions on a subject so obviously controversial as religion should be expected. Whether you appreciate it or not, you should at least respect it, as the stigma was posted by you.
As far as leaving e-mail addys, why bother? Heck, you bet I'll be back to see if I stirred anything up =P
If anything, I think Nonny is the most enlightened one here. Lighten up!

Thank you Nonny. Why is someone flamed when they stand up for their religion! Fellow artists and commentors, I will have you know that Catholics believe they will answer for not standing up for their religion. They will answer before God for not defending the Church. Why would we risk that???

I wish people(faery or human) wouldn't make fun of the Holy Father. That faery should know better.

When you say making fun of humans and their religious antics you mean making fun of Catholics and their religious antics. We are the only ones who follow the Pope. Geez! I agree with Fleur the Fantastic!!!!

ummm...Catholics go to Elfwood too.I am one of them. Try to accept other people's religious beliefs. This is not directed to the artist. This is directed to the commentors. If the artist wants to make fun of His Holiness, the Holy Father of my religion, I'll just have to deal with it...but come on guys...what do you have against the poor guy? I mean hes almost ninety for goodness !

I haven't been around my site here for a long time, and I'm a little older and a little wiser.
I understand all these comments were made a long time ago, and that most of the people who made them wouldn't even return to read this, but it's nice to get them out anyway.
I personally don't give a damn anymore. This was not meant to offend the entire Catholic community of elfwood. The fact is that I found a pack of 8 crayola crayons and I started to draw and this is what came out. I have nothing against the pope. He's an old man, an icon head, and last I heard a pretty nice guy. However...it's just a drawing. I apologize for any feelings that might have been hurt, but I do not apologize for drawing it. Everyone's entitled to an opinion. Mine is..."Let it be" Honestly guys? It's not a big deal. It's a drawing in someone's journal when she was fifteen, maybe. In the grand scheme of things? It doesn't matter. I maintain that I don't disgrace elfwood, I feel that elfwood does that on it's own. Anyway. I digress. Happy lives to all of you.
