SciFi and Fantasy Art: Calypso the Mage

What do you do when you are the only Chaotic Good character in a SpellJammer-type ship full of evil characters? You go with the flow and be as powerful as you can be. Calypso is a mage who happened to get stuck on a Scro ship while aiding in its repairs. Her captain is a Scro who tolerates her because of her skill and power in regards to magic. However, when the captain's plans turns to attacking and destroying the Elves of Evermeet once and for all, will she go along or turn against her captain and crew? I tried to use a different style for this particular character, for her situation makes her very unique. I thought she looks pretty cool, though.

6 Feb 2001	Andrea (the artist)	Loading... A mage is a magic-user. Not all magic-users have hour-glass shaped eyes. I believe 'Raistlin' from the Dragonlance books was the only mage to have hour-glass eyes. I'm glad you love this picture, it is one of my favorites. I shall endeavor to get more of this kind of quality from my scanner, thanks all!

The pose used here is very strong, and I used it to convey the passion of battle. I'm pretty picky about color, and I think this shows her fiery spirit and chaotic nature rather well.
