SciFi and Fantasy Art: Blood Price

Teeth ground together as Sita's fingers involuntarily clenched together around the blade of the knife. It was the final test before she passed on to become a journeyman. A test, and a lesson. Mages were bound by blood oaths never to use a blade against another creature. It was a rule made both out of ethics and logic - when one used magick, it changed them somehow, until the touch of iron became repellant. This final test was made to fix that immutably in a journeyman's memory. Sita could feel the silent ringing of the iron throbbing through her viens, but she vowed she would not release the knife. Not until she had passed the test. Not until then.

(I was about to comment on how much I loved this picture and how I thought it was great that she was on her knees (good expression) when I noticed this comment above, and had to fix it for ya!) <smiles> Well...Unless she ISN'T on her knees..... Great hair! It has the tousled look...big...I like it!!
