I am one of those people in the movies who is always complaining about how they were born in the wrong century, or the wrong continent. In my case, however, it's not true, I just like to think it is. I've been fascinated with the fantasy genre for as long as I can remember, and while I may not belong in another century, I certainly would feel quite at home in the worlds of Ann McCaffrey or J.R.R. Tolkien; I've visited them often enough as it is. I've been drawing since my junior year of high school, when I started drawing little flower-wreathed maidens in my English journal when I got bored. By the end of the year there were as many pictures as English entries, and I was ready to move on to dragons. The pictures here are not the culmination of years of work, I'd like to think that the culmination is still a long ways off so I still have plenty of time to improve. In my spare time, aside from drawing, I write, sculpt dragons, sew medieval clothes, am a member of the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism), and generally find as many ways to connect myself with the nobler and more enigmatic world of fantasy as possible. I also have a passion for Tin Lizzy Ice Cream.

Hey fellow alayna. i love your site and i have to say that i am proud to have a fellow alayna do so well,even though youre the first one ive found. my parents also had no idea what my name meant and got it from a book. let me know what else it means cus ive spent a long time trying to figure it out. thanks alayna
I have a daughter named Alayna Marie. We just took the name Alanna and changed the spelling around a bit. Alayna also means fair, beautiful. My younger daughter, Megan, has Alayna as her middle name. It's a beautiful name.

you have really great work. my daughter's name is also Alayna (Starr). i didn't no many other people have the name spelled this way thats awesome: (the female version of alan and it means attractive)

waddup? this is the coolest website ever!!! i have told all of my friends about this website,
but i dont think that they have become members yet..
this website is also cool because the artitsts name is alayna, and as you can see, so is mine i also want to become an artist. i am only 11 years old, but i have high hopes and i am blessed to be published in my school book!!
