| 10 Sep 1999 | Cynthia Lane Armstrong | Cool concept, but those wings don't look very functional to me. Maybe if you added a few more feathers...Aw, screw reality, it looks good. | |
| 11 Sep 2000 | Carolyn VanEseltine | This picture really attracts the eye, both for its unusual nature and for the expression on her face. Unfortunately, one of the immediate thoughts that springs to mind upon looking at it is "she'd fall over!" --which I'm sure isn't the desired effect! To counteract this-- I'm not sure what all could be done, but my first advice would be to make the sword blade shapes on her wings much, much more thin-looking, because right now they look like she's wearing essentially bronze and steel broadswords all over her back. Other thoughts? Excellent use of shading; there's a good sense of "ground", though I'd still like to see more of a background anyway; and a very good fantasy feel, despite the fact that she seems to be a human / machine cross. | |
| 27 Sep 2000 | Eric R. Vondell ~ 'Tralfaz Aquilleon' | Really good! It instantly brought to mind the classic Greek tale of Icarus- who flew too close to the sun and the wax holding his wings together melted away....... | |
| 4 Feb 2002 | Sharon Coller | I really like the wings. Maybe she isn't falling over because of all the armor on her body? Oh, and thanks for commenting over in my story section. | |
| 3 May 2004 | Mandie | Very interesting concept!!!(Also very good) SilentRaven FA Marti replies: "Thanks. This is quite an old design, but I'm glad you like it. Maybe she'll get a redraw one of these days. " | |
| 7 Jun 2005 | Esmeralda <malda-lindblad@spr...se> | Is she having clockwork-wings? They look a bit mechanical to me... FA Marti replies: "They are indeed clockwork wings, although I doubt she could fly with them." | |
