SciFi and Fantasy Art: Castle Guard

This is Hmrrrgnar the ogre,guard of the castle and someone who you really don't want to mess with. More fat than muscle, and he carrys a mean little axe. Not quite done with the b/g yet, but just a quick little thing with oil pastels and color pencils. I realize the hand is off a bit. Oh well.

16 Aug 2003	Edward 'Edge' C. Arvidson	Loading... I do love the coloring on this bugger; the general musculature is well done. Someday I'm going to wise up and start doing details in color like that instead of trying to do them all in the original pencil drawing... But it's kind of hard to make out the details of his face. His eyes, especially, get kinda lost.

I can just picture some cheeky elf picking him off with his bow Hehe, great picture though The axe looks really cool. The bricks could use a bit of texture though...
