SciFi and Fantasy Art: Armoured Lady

(2004) Purely a pencil effort this one. I got inspired by a picture i saw at gfxartist.com, and also thought that a monocolour would take less time than a full colour composition. However, the details in the shield and armour, and smmoth shading spun this pic out for much longer than expected. I'm working on another one at the moment involving a camel and a kitten. A similar style but with less persuit of detailed perfection

8 May 2004	Kathleen 'Kat' Donovan	Loading... Beautiful work on the metal! It looks very shiny and has alot of depth... One thing that bothers me though is her hands look a little small... But in comparison to the size of her muscles, maybe you wanted to downplay them to make her look more muscular? Wonderful work though! Your attention to the details on her armor and shield are fabulous!
8 May 2004	Cosmin D. Hrincu	Loading... The detail in this pic. is beautiful. One thing I suggest you should do is make her face look more feminine, and maybe take away a bit of her hand muscles. Otherwise, great stuff.
19 May 2004	Amanda Leigh Johnson	Loading... I think the hands are fine. I personally have really small hands and it kind of shows. But anyhow, I think it's wonderful. Especially how she doesn't have that typical 'I'm beatiful so let me show' kind of look to her. It's more like she's actually a warrior, with emotion and pain. Great detail in the armour I'm always fond of good pencil work
