SciFi and Fantasy Art: Portal 1

Fantasy art often deals with other worlds & the transition from this reality to a more fantastic world. This picture was just drawn for the hell of it, rather than to actively pursue the topic of transition – maybe a psychologist could explain the thinking behind that. In this picture there was more a focus on the world she is escaping rather than the one she is entering. Actually I scanned this one & then spotted one (or two ;) mistakes – something that’s happened a couple of times before. A good lesson to be more careful in future.

31 May 2005	Flowerchild	Loading... I love your use of color!!!Especially the way she is similar in color not to the world she is escaping but to the world she is escaping too. It makes her seem to belong to the later rather than where she is from. Did that make any sence?? Anyway, its anazing. Probably one of my favorite things i've ever seen on elfwood.

To the artist, this is such a brilliant piece! I think the most interesting works of art come from just toying around ^_^b

24 Dec 2005	Laura 'Vexan' Adlington	Loading... Argh everyone seems to hate nudes on my trip around Elfwood. I for one think most well drawn nude photos are brilliant and respectable art, natural. This is one of those pictures, it's gorgeous, excellent clouring and much time taken. Well done.
19 Feb 2006	Katerina A. Romanova	Loading... She looks so happy! Although, from what I've seen of the plant world, she should be a bit more careful about that plant. She may be leaping out of the frying pan and into the fire, only a pretty fire.
25 Apr 2008	Per Johansson	Loading... I can´t belive that the "I hate nudes!" are really serious. Why would anyone do that? We are all born nude, and no one has any reason whatsoever to feel ashamed of any part of her or his body. If you do that, you really have serious mental problems!
