SciFi and Fantasy Art: Sculpture: Laslo

Introducing Laslo, my new bodice pet. I sculpted him to sit over the top of the bodice I wear when we go to renaissance faires. He took about 10 days to complete and I'm working on getting him reproduced. I gave him a wire spine, crushed tin foil in the chest and belly with wire wrapped around it, and then his whole surface is polymer clay.

Amy Antika Naylor replies: "I mix my own colors, so I can't really give a specific color name to look for. I mostly use Liquitex brands paints, with PearlEx powders to get those metalic effects. I especially love the interference colors!"

I also found some loose make-up powders in a beauty supply shop that have also worked really well in my paints."

I also love your idea of little creatures to carry around with you at the Renn Fest. I've made up my mind to try my hand at sculpting and these little guys are something to try, though I've a long way to go to get to your caliber. Keep creating, you're amazing at what you do.
