SciFi and Fantasy Art: Canis Draconis

This piece was done for a cover of a fanzine newsletter. Canis Draconis or 'Dragondogs' are a species of critters I created, inspired by my dog. She was kind enough to pose for the prelim sketch, too. *grin* Medium: Pen & Ink

Looks very peaceful. With the background and border it looks very elegent.

I'm first, I'm first - Ahem... Pardon my childish glee, but I love getting the first comment in on a great piece. I'm working on a fanzine now, and I wish I could do this clear style of art that reproduces so well. Come to think of it, I wish I could manage knotwork too!

He is so cute. Looks like a picture I wanted to draw about Crystal's (my character) dragon companion. I never got round to it. Maby I should.... *wanders off to think with her pad of paper*

Oh lala... fantastic! I always like it when somebody takes the time to add some kind of borders to their work. I would certainly love to have a dog like that...

Three things; 1) you should update more, because your art is superb! 2)I like this piece a lot, it's detailed and you did knotwork! (I'm a knotwork lover *weeps*) the dragondog's pose is well done, and you have a BACKGROUND! 3) oh PLEASE color this one day. It's got a lot of potential, but it seems a little washed out without shadow and color and all the good things that go with it, you know? I love your art, thanks for sharing it. ^^

Oh my gosh, this is so weird!! I searched "Canis Draconis" in the search engine and found this wonderfully, cute little picture! I'm writing a (crappy) story called Canis Draconis, and i was curious to see if anyone used the name besides me! Love the pose, and the ridges on the back are cool!
