SciFi and Fantasy Art: Luthien (II)

The leaves were long, the grass was green,
The hemlock-umbels tall and fair,
And in a glade a light was seen
Of stars in shadow shimmering.
Tinuviel was dancing there
To music of a pipe unseen,
And light of stars was in her hair
And in her raiment glimmering.

Then Beren came from mountains cold,
And lost he wandered under leaves,
And where the elven river rolled
He walked alone and sorrowing.
He peered between the hemlock-leaves,
And saw in wonder flowers of gold
Upon her mantels and her sleeves,
And her hair like shadow following.

Enchantment healed his weary feet
That over hills were doomed to roam;
And forth he hastened, strong and fleet,
And grasped at moonbeams glistening.
Through woven woods in Elvenhome
She lightly fled on dancing feet,
And left him lonely still to roam
In the silent forest listening. [...]

oo! even better than the last luthien ( and we thought it couldn't get any better!) this one she's dancing, and her face is so beautiful. hey, u figured out the mantle with golden flowers! and what tinuviel scene would be complete without beren spellbound in the background? can we give u the credit this time, and not ur scanner? ::adds picure to favorites:: 1

~In reponse to Cancer-girls' post~ The story is from the Silmarillion, but indeed, this passage is included in the LOTR...can't remember if it's the appendex or if Aragorn or Gandalf or someone tells it, but it's definitely in one of them.
~In response to the picture~ Beautiful. I can't believe how you got that effect on her dress...it's exactly how he describes it. Thank you sooo much.

I really am fond of the colors, I like how everything looks pretty dark save for her. It's a cool effect.
