| 19 Feb 2006 | S. D. Kallio | *First Comment Dance* This is pretty good. The nose is very well done. The head might be a little short or it could just be the perspective. The part of the jaw right below the eye might need to be a little longer both ways (hieghth and width). I'm not quite sure. I think the area from the forehead of the horse to the muzzle is made be a little too wide at the end. *glances around room to find a horse picture for reference* Normally there's a bit of a diamond shape. In this picture the horn is the top, the eyes are two of the sides, and the diamond fades away at the nose. The transition from the head to the neck is nicely done. I normally draw horses (on my math homework) in positions like that but the bodies don't get finished. Mostly because they run in to the Cosign of angle X or whatever. But that was mainly me nitpicking. I have a habit of doing that to horse pictures. But the shading is excellent and the eyes are wonderful. | |
