SciFi and Fantasy Art: Bliss(Rough Sketch)

I'm not quite sure what to think of this one...It just kind of appeared in my sketch book y'know? Well I know it is rough looking and I plan on fixing it up when I get the time.UPDATE: I replaced the old picture with a new more outlined version that I scanned in. I hope it pleases everyone!

The hand wasn't there before, eh? Was it? Otherwise I really need to check my eyes. *pops them out and polishes them with his handkerchief* This new scan is much better and really shows the romantic emotion of this scene. *starts to see all kinds of romantic stories in his head* Nononononoooo! I gotta stop thinking like this!

:-) Andrea 'Jade' Binner replies: "Yes Marcel *giggles* The hand was always there. And try keeping your eyes inside your head m'dear! Don't want to have that 'incident' happen again where your eye rolls under the radiator and we have to call a technician to come get it...that was so emberrassing! *laughs* I love ya Marcel...thanks for the comment. And no mushy thinking!"

This one's very well done!! I really like the expressions. If you're very secure of your "pulse" (i don't know the words ^^12 you should start using black inked pens. Peace out!

:-) Andrea 'Jade' Binner replies: "Thankyou! The expression and meaningfullness behind it was what I was going for! As for black inking it, with the hair and all I think that would get more than a bit messy. Although I am thinking of inking a line drawing one of these days...thankyou for the comment! It means the world to me...and sorry for the late reply!"

wow once again. You are very talented. I wish my drawings came out looking half as good. I especially like this one...there seems to be so much emotion with just the gentle slope of a line.

:-) Andrea 'Jade' Binner replies: "  Thankyou so much Angie! *hugs tightly* I'm really glad that you like my art. It means the world to me that you came here at all! Thankyou so very much for the comment and sorry for the very late reply. Love ya!"

oh wow, you really are very talented, this is so beautiful, the hair is all flowy and stuff and it looks so gorgeous, once again i envy your skill with drawing hands, how do u DO that?? hands are always so mean to me...

:-) Andrea 'Jade' Binner replies: "Thankyou so much! You get a special hug *huggles* because as I went through my gallery I noticed that you commented on nearly all (if not all) of my drawings and that means so much to me. Just for that I am giving you a magic bowl of ice cream. No matter what flavor and no matter how much you eat it will always be full! As for the hand...I must confess I had a reference...and the hand in my other drawing (peace) was my own that I held (for waaaaaaaay too long) while I was drawing. So in short I'm really not that good...just get lucky with my available references I suppose. Thankyou again for commenting...Means so much. Oh and sorry for the super late reply!"

Great face!!! 12 The proportions are all correct and she looks very good! Maybe some of the hair should be visible going from behind the ear on the "front"-side to the back where everything flows...?

:-) Andrea 'Jade' Binner replies: "Thankyou very much for the comment! It means a lot to me that you took the time to comment on this and I saw that you commented on at least one other drawing of mine as well. *huggles* That means a lot to me! Back to the piccy, maybe I could do that hair thing. I'm not sure but I didn't think there would really be a place that you would see any hair on the front side but I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time! Thanks again and sorry for the super late reply."

Ya, the proportions are good and she's very pretty. Maybe you could work more on your shading techniques to make this look really realistic. Overall I like this though, very dreamlike in a way.

:-) Andrea 'Jade' Binner replies: "I couldn't agree with you more on the shading thing. I definitely need to work on that. Actually it is my current project...that and learning clothing folds/wrinkles. If you have any personal tips/tutorials/exercises/ or books that might help me feel free to tell me! I'd love that. Thankyou very much for the comment. Sorry for the super late reply."

The face its self is really beautiful. It is a nice, well proportioned profile, which is hard to do. You might consider colouring it.

:-) Andrea 'Jade' Binner replies: "I might color a traced version someday but considering it would probably end up being one of the first things I had ever colored it probably woudn't end up here. Thankyou for the advice and the comment. I really appreciate it and I'm sorry for the lateness of my reply to it."

yees please color it. This piccie screams for color!

:-) Andrea 'Jade' Binner replies: "Then I'm going to have to get it a muzzle because I can't color! *laughs* thankyou so very much for the comment but I just don't think I'll ever be brave enough to color one of my drawings. Especially one that is one of my favorites. Thankyou though for writing to me...and sorry that my reply is so late."

I really like this one!

This one is very nice, you have potential. Try shading it, pay attention to the hair..bring it out a bit, make it "jump off the paper" sorta speak. 2
