SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Misty Valley

This was originally an oil painting i did on canvas based on my earlier pencil sketch called 'The Valley of the Endless Quest', but i was never very happy with oil paints because i could neverpaint in fine enough detail. What you see below is the original canvas scanned in and re-done using Paint Shop on PC.

Oil painting & brushes, enhanced with Paint Shop Pro.

:-) Andy J Bradley replies: "Thx! I'm not sure "master" is the right word, but i still quite like this painting even though its so old : )"

Wow, what a great landscape! I feel like I can just jump in and walk around or something. However, if I did, I doubt I would return, seeing as though its an "Endless Quest" 1 Keep up the good work!

Extremely well done! I especially loved the blending of colours on the mountain and the trees and the water... well, everything, basically. Teach me how! *grin*

Lately I've been getting more and more into landscapes (probably 'cause I usually don't even include a background in most of my pieces 10 ) and this is really cool 2 keep it up.

I'm really am no good at landscapes and backgrounds. You've managed to make me incredibly jealous! This is definatly one of the most beautiful landscapes I've ever seen.
I'm also incredibly jealous when it comes to people, who can create wonderful things with oilpaint.. So now I'm deciding wether I don't like you or wether I like you and use your pictures as an inspiration.

I'm choosing the last option.. (jeez, that's a lot of crap in one comment, let's review it: You're good! This is amazing! And It's al togheter fantastic!)

Thank you.

Oooh, ooh , ooh! Words utterly fail me. :21ighs in rapture:: 2 2

P.S. I just noticed something...is that writing on the rock? If so, what does it say? 1

13 Andy J Bradley replies: "The stone and writing were there in the original sketch, so i carried it across into the painted version. It didn't really mean anything in this painting, but if you check some of my more recent works then you might find more."
