SciFi and Fantasy Art: Where Elves Still Tread

This is a landscape i started many years ago, the sketch having sat in my sketch pad since 2000. It's taken all the years up until now for me to figure out a way to paint it, and even so, im not sure i've done it very well.

The original sketch was drawn on A3 paper, but i enlarged it to A2 while i was painting it, so i could get it printed that size. Some of the detail will have been lost to shrink it for web viewing but you should be able to find a 'closeup' of the two elves if you go back to my main gallery page. I've also included the original sketch.

(Painted over a scanned version of the sketch, entirely on PC using 'Painter' and 'Paintshop Pro')
