SciFi and Fantasy Art: Legolas?

To make you feel better, in the book, they don't actually tell you about really any features of any elves, except for the fact that they are 6-7 feet tall and are fair.

This is cool. I mean, I've seen blond, dark-haired, green-haired, brown-haired, and even a bald Legolas before. (Sorry, the bald Legolas is not in Elfwood, someone at school drew it as a parody.) I think that facial expressions and bone structures are more important in t picture. The expression is lovely, and the angle at which his head is tilted gives it a nice look.

i liked the picture, but at first i thought that i's a girl. I am very found of Legolas, but alas, this is just a literature character.Whatever the colour of his hair, i love Elves, they'll drive me crazy. i am 16 years old , and i still cant make myself to think about 'em ! Am i stupid ,or so ?

Okay legolas has blonde hair because the only elves with dark hair are elrond (he's half human) and arwen (1/4 human)And Aredhel, and Caranthir, and Curufin, and Eol, and Feanor, and Maeglin, and Lúthien, and Maglor, and probably at least half the Elves in The Silmarillion. anyway it's a nice pic but not my legolas... I'm 12 and i'm soo obsessed with the lord of the rings (elves especially!)

Well an other comment by me, Josh, well just was stoping by and saw legolas, well I love the hair you did in this i am trying to do a pic of legolas but it did not turn out so good your great, you should meet my friend stephen(doesant believe on putting art-work on the internet) he draws great, he loves to draw leglas on diffrant positions, well stop on my my place, see my wood-elf ranger i did I think you would like it alot.

The pic is pretty cool! Im 12 and tottaly obsessed with orlando bloom/Legolas! Im gettin the leggy action figure for x-mas and im gonna have fun with it

Nice pic, althogh I cannot resist to comment on the hair color. The theory he has blonde hair or high probablity is that his father and his grandfather are both described as being blonde or golden-haired. This leads to conclusion he had blone hair as well. Also he is not Silvan elf but Sindar and he is also a kin of Thingol. Now both Sindar and Silvan elves belong among Teleri and these were mostly dark-haired except Thingol's kin who had silver hair. Legolas and his father and grandfather are obvioulsy exceptions and they obvioulsy have Vanyarin blood and origins as all blonde elves outside the branch of Vanyar elves(the only elves with blonde hair and blue eyes).

Well, I always thought of Legolas as a blond guy. It's really good but, I think you should of made him a blondie.
He looks SOOOOOO cute as a blond. Oh well it's your pic.
