SciFi and Fantasy Art: Flapper Vampire

Oh, the 1920's. Prohibition, speakeasies, gangsters and tommy guns. Short little dresses, pearls, bobbed hair and, oh yeah-- this little vampire seen here. I don't know where she came from, as the style is certainly different from other pictures I've done, but I like the clean, flowing lines. Recently relocated from my Lothlorien gallery, and made to look pretty by Kassly who makes much of my art look pretty.

I didn't do much, really. Brightened her whites a bit, cleaned up the fangs so that they were more visible, added the black border... which, I admit, was fun. It was still a really neat picture to begin with.

:-) Lisa Ann (Jae) Andresen replies: "you did a *world* of difference, Kass, and I'll never let anything convince me otherwise. But I agree it's one of my niftier pictures. Le sigh. I have four seperate vampire picture in my gallery now, in three different styles. Think I'm slightly obsessed or something?"

Very Cute. More then any other of you work it looks like it could be a character in a saturday morning cartoon show. well that was at least my first thought. Love the jewels, and the cute little fangs..that she probabbly uses to mangle and kill her victims.

:-) Lisa Ann (Jae) Andresen replies: "Funny your should mention the cartoony look... one of the original intentions I had for this picture was to do more like her and eventually develop my own webcomic about a vampire and her adventures in the 1920's. Several things stopped me: lack of a decent storyline, lack of skill to complete the project, and waay too much laziness to even begin. But I'm glad I did at least this much. lol on the fangs comment."

You've definitely improved over the years. I like the graphic look to her, but you can tell that your grasp of anatomy and facial structure has come a long way. Go you, and keep up the good work.
