SciFi and Fantasy Art: Beleg's Death

Thus it came to pass that they returned to Morgoth emptyhanded, and left behind the son of Húrin, who sat crazed and unwitting on the slopes of Taur-na-Fuin, bearing a burden heavier than their bonds. Then Gwindor roused Túrin to aid him in the burial of Beleg, and he rose as one that walked in sleep; and together they laid Beleg in a shallow grave, and placed beside him Belthronding his great bow, that was made of black yew-wood.

You almost made me cry. Beleg was my favorite character in all the Silmarillon. This portrays such emotion, so sad.

*sniffle sniffle*Aww, sorry ... 12

Túrin is my favorite character from the sil. You draw him as I have imagined him: bearded and long hair. So cute! This scene shows the broken hero Túrin excellently.

Oh, that made me want to cry. Poor Beleg. And yet it's painted so beautifully.

Such emotion in the scene, but I don't like Gwindor's eyes. they're too haunting, and don't fit the rest of the picture.

OH wow. He’s fabulous! Or rather, THEY’RE fabulous. Beleg looks a lot the way I imagined him, and Turin looks even more. (infact, the only real difference in the way I imagined him was that I thought he’d be a bit scruffier.)

Great colours again! I like the lighting and the cloudy sky, it adds to the sad atmosphere very well. Good work on the face expressions, too! Emotions are really shown well and clearly in your art...
