'At those words Denethor's eyes flamed again, and taking the Stone under his arm he drew a knife and strode towards the bier. But Beregond sprang forward and set himself before Faramir.'

J.R.R. Tolkien: The Lord of the Rings, Book 5, Chapter 7: The Pyre of Denethor

Wow, this picture is just astounding. Your attention to detail is amazing. The palantir looks awesome and I love how you show Pippin there as well. Great job.

The palantir is amazing. It looks computer done, 3d. wow.
Nice details.
Poor Faramir, he has the worst luck in the world.

Woah! I absolutely adore your portrayals of Denethor. Exactly how I imagined him from the books. In this, I am stunned by how much emotion and sweeping movement you have managed to convey. I especially like the Palantir. It looks so real! *dies* The only thing that I would say about this is that the eye contact between Denethor and Beregond looks a little off. Apart from that nitpick though, this is a magnificent piece of work!

Fantastic work. The scene and the characters are exactly how I imagined them. Do you have a book of your art published?

Goodness gracious! Great balls of Fire! (no pun intended with the whole pyre thing) And Merry Wanderer of the Night is right: THE PALANTIR ROCKS!!! plus everybody looks just the way I pitured them! (well I would have done Pippin’s hair a little different but still cool!)
