| 22 Mar 2004 | E. 'Erroneous' Szydloski | The flash film is at http://legendaryfrog.com/movies2_temp.htm under One Ring to Rule Them All 2. The original One Ring to Rule Them all is also pretty funny, but not as funny as its sequel. Thanks for the link. | |
| 7 Apr 2004 | Simona | Ah, this is such a lovely piece! The composition, the poses, the expressions - everything comes together so perfectly. Wonderful job once again! Btw, i stared at this pic for at least ten minutes with this eerie feeling that your rendering of Faramir vaguely reminded me of someone. Then it hit me: there seems to be something Jude Law -ish there. *lol* the eyes, maybe? but more likely, it's one of those weird tricks my imagination sometimes plays on me. Now that i think about it, though - Jude Law would probably have made a perfect Faramir in the film ;-)Better than DW anyway. Then again, with this script, even the best actor wouldn't have saved the part. | |
| 20 Nov 2004 | Maria Ringsevjen | ahhhh...how I really wanted this scene to be part of the movies....Even if I truly loved the movies (can't wait to see the last extended), I'm not sure if I can ever forgive mr Jackson for ruining my favourite minor (if he can be called minor) character. As mentioned before me the colours are very fitting to show him as the ranger he is, and Sam's expression is great. After all that has happened prior to this it's no wonder that he would look a little mistrusting.Thank you very much. | |
| 30 Dec 2004 | Morgul | The One Ring to Rule Them All, ORTRTA 2 and ORTRTA 3 are at Newgrounds.com.
They also have LotR in 5 minutes which is insanely funny. | |
| 30 Jan 2005 | Meghan davis | It's been said but i had to say it again; thank you for this scene! I loved the movies but Faramir's shift of characer was killing me. He's one of my favs and they made him into a creep. Painful. But this is beutiful and this is my comment for all your works coz i'm notoriously bad at commenting and your work is stunning. Your skill at watercolour is of great envy for me. As is our obvious patience. So to make a long story short congradulations for being one of the truly talented people of elfwood and if you don't mind i'd like to save a couple of your pic's for future reference and your defenatly being book marked under my favorites section. Sorry for the long comment | |
| 2 Feb 2005 | Quiet and shy | This is a lovely pic and I assure you that I'm not making fun of this in any way, but I just had to get this out of my head. When I saw this I was thinking what a great depiction of the scene it was and how it was awful they left it out of the movie and suddenly, I get this picture in my head of Faramir, standing on the top of a mountain in a flowing red cape, and this dramatic voice, like the one for superman, says loudly and boomingly "Faramir's finest hour!" and I just cracked up! Hehe, I'm still giggling *snorts* Don't worry, I'm not trying to mock your piece, I just though this was an appropriate place to put it. The expressions on your people are amazing, keep up the good work! | |
| 16 Aug 2005 | Nesta | This is about my favourite Faramir picture by my favourite LoTR artist. It fits that moment in the book absolutely perfectly. I look at it whenever I want to rid myself of the nasty taste of movie Faramir. Please go on doing Faramir pics.! | |
| 2 Dec 2005 | Suzanne Mitts | this is a beautiful moment, faramir’s face filled with purpose as he denies the very thing that stole his brother’s life. and so the ranger fades back into the forest… as several of my forebearers have noted, I too did not like faramir’s evilness from the movie. yes it was grand and all that he finally turned around, but the original faramir was too pure of heart to even be tempted by the ring. your work conveys this beautifully; his strength and his heart. I applaud that. I love all of your faramir pics, but I went crazy attempting to see them all, but this one really struck me. the ranger clothing seems to fit him better than armor or castle garb. I’ve always felt that faramir was pushed aside by most people and wanted to learn and see more about him…I think you have done a great job. *bows reverently* | |
| 4 Jun 2006 | Shade O'Conner | methinks that though liketh Faramir overly much | |
| 16 Jan 2008 | Namiko ´Eilonwy´ Hitotsubashi | Oh I love the way you draw Faramir! | |
