SciFi and Fantasy Art: Garden fairies

No story for this picture. It's not one of my better works, either. I tried to color it with oil pastels, but after making a mess of the male fairy, I gave up and went back to color pencils.

1 Aug 2000	Lauren Anneliese Schmidt	Loading... Does that one fairy have a dragonfly on a leash? what a funny and charming idea! I've seen some really nice stuff done with a combination of color pencils and oil pastels - the oil on top of pencil gives a nice layer to smudge and blend a little bit. It might be something to experiment with if you like both of the media - the oil pastels sure do stand out brilliantly!
