SciFi and Fantasy Art: Earless Elf

I drew this pic from one I saw somewhere. Well I was gunna add elf ears to it, but I don't wanna ruin the pic by drawing elf ears on it, so it's an earless elf! Nah, i'll just say that the hair is hiding the ears, how's that?? :p

What a lot of hair. It's very definately possible that her hair hides her ears. What medium was this done in? The hair looks like charcoal?
