SciFi and Fantasy Art: Harpy

After playing too much Heroes of Might and Magic 3, I decided I had to draw one of my favorite units, the Harpy Hag. I sketched and sketched and sketched, and came up with many different styles.. (or many for me.. I don't experiment as much as I should.) Well, in any case, this is a scanned sketch which is roughly coloured in Photoshop.. I liked it because I seldom succeed in drawing expressions, and hers seemed to work out well...

2 Jan 2001	Juha-Matti Pulkkinen	Loading... I don't think that the wings are too small. To me, they seem to be very good in size. That roughness makes me feel as she would be a cruel and fearsome beast, as it is =) (though it is not in Heroes III)

The harpy hag's wings are not too small, and I think the hairdo is even better than the "punkic" ones that appear in the game grins Try applying shadows on her face and intensify her wicked look...I 'm sure you know how to do that since Heini said that you're evil flees
