Anne-Marie is working as a graphic designer, which leaves her far less time than desired for her own artwork. The majority of her art grows from dreams and nature-inspired themes.

I've been neglecting my poor elfwood gallery for years now, but I vow to change that! Expect to see NEW FRESH art here soon! (Or at least relatively new. ;) )
My own gallery has more images in higher resolution and bigger size and is updated more often, so if you want to see more, come get some. I've deleted almost half of the old pictures up here in Elfwood to encourage people to look at the newer ones. Unfortunately, there were still a few that had too great a nostalgia factor for me to be able to remove!
Why do I draw? Because I have no choice. Sometimes I put things into writing... but sometimes there just aren't words to describe an atmosphere and so I must draw instead. Sometimes it's the other way around, but thankfully, you can only find a bit of my writing in my personal site. To be brutally honest, I just love drawing, and perhaps that's the best and only reason I have.
I'm in a foreign country and it feels more like home than my homecountry ever felt. But then again, what is home? I like to say it's where my cat is, but she isn't here...
Inspiration.. I can find it in cards, books, sights, sounds, other people, but usually, it comes from dreams. A dreamless night is a bad one. Even a nightmare can be inspiring, and I usually find that what's a nightmare for others is a dream for me...
I'm in Elftown. Perhaps I'll see you there. I'm in England. Perhaps I'll see you there. Write a comment or e-mail and I'll certainly read it. If you're curious about what's going on in my life, peek at my modblog!
Hey Anne-Marie ^^ I just wanted to let you know that I took some advice you gave me on my picture "Waiting Faery" and wanted to let you know that I redid it and wanted to see if I interpreted your advice as you meant it. If that's too confusing, I'll just say I updated and hope you come take a look ^^

Hello First of, thanx for all the fine comments on my page. I dont think anyone has made som many and so insightful ones before. Sadly, I have neglectad that page for a long time now... I have tried to return tha favour now, I feel I may have been a bit to harsh, maybe? Its always hard to know how to critique someone U don´t know. :/ But anyways, it´s for the best. One drawback with Elfwood is the lack of insightful and fair critique - I guess people are just a bit to nice to each-other I have looked through your gallery, and it has a little of everything, which is really good. Environments, water, concepts, perspective - very diverified. U got the basics for lighting and shadow and color theory too (I know I am very poor on those areas...). Keep this up and U´ll develop into something great. U seems to have the eyeball for this, but the technical side is lacking some, in the knowledge of human form (I don´t want to sound mean :/). But only hard work (but hey, its fun too, sometimes...) can beat that. Keep on drawing, till the hands fall off, thats what I intend to doo, and I urge U to do the same. Greets and as its on the way, merry X-mas
Hey! You're a great artist! You seem to master shading, proportions and coloring. There's nothing more for me to say than: I want your skill. Keep it up Anne-Marie C. Eriksson replies: "Thank you, Marie. There's still a lot I have to learn, even within those areas, but it's good to be appreciated! You want my skill? Just doodle and draw and never stop. You'll get mine and more!"
Well, while we're on the subject of similar names...lol. I like your stuff, Anne-Marie, I can't wait to see more! Anne-Marie C. Eriksson replies: "Hey Anne-Marie! Thank you. I've got plenty of odd stuff lined up and ready for scanning and uploading but haven't gotten around to doing it yet! Shame not all of it fits into elfwood..."
Lovely gallery, very colorful. I like how you manage inspiration without plagiarism- not easy for many artists. I'm very intrigued by that song you mentioned, I hope it continues to inspire You have quite an interesting, and yes diversified style. Coolness to you and your gallery. Ciao. ~Kay
