i do not think she is so lacking in clearity of thought as to desire to wield it in battle but is there to symbolicaly burry the cost of gratuitous conflict it represents - she does not show the hard face of one who seeks ignorantly to destroy but the devistated weariness of one who has seen the price of destruction (and the motivations of destructiveness) with her own eyes ... ~12

I love the axe! It's not too big. Perhaps shes very strong for her size.2 It is very lovely.

..or maybe the axe is pretty light... This is beautifully done, I love the way you colored it. Really good job!

I like how it looks as if the trees are leaning in to bow to her. Perhaps the axe is what she uses to scare off loggers? After all, it doesn't have to be used, it could all be for show. If I were a logger and I saw a maiden coming at me with a battle axe, I wouldn't stick around to see if she could actually wield it.

Hm, nice job. The color is well done and sets a nice mood I dont see so much for some reason. I like..

The thing that immediately stands out to me are the beautiful colours. You have a wonderful skill with watercolours. these are tones that I would not normally paint in, i would be scared that they would look horrible, but you have made them look beautiful! Well done!

Lettow must be a proud man to have such a nice work dedicated to him. =)

I like the axe, and the colors in the sky are just beautiful. The trees and the woman seem a bit flat to me. You might try adding some deeper shadow, especially on the trees and ground as they fade into the background. Overall very nice, though, and a masterful use of watercolors

Very nice, luv the colors. I love the way the leafs just float towards her hand (very well done hands), and her hair.

:-) Anne-Marie C. Eriksson replies: "It's got a lot of outlines, cartoony in a way.. 2 Thank you."

Re: she looks too weak for the axe. Her hand seems to be leading the swoop of the leaves. I get the sense that she has some kind of magical ability, and it may relate to her axe weilding.

:-) Anne-Marie C. Eriksson replies: "That is exactly what it is. That was my Paladin on the Darklands shard. She shouldn't have been able to weild such a friggin' huge axe, but because the server was in its alpha/beta stage back then, she could. As a roleplayer, I explained it as her faith. She had the power of the gods behind her. 2"
