| 16 May 2001 | Daniel Harris 'Hyptosis' | Drizzt Do'Urden is cool, and the style did stick with him. But there is an ACTUAL fighting style that involves two scimitars. Small ones at that, I cannot think of the name now, but picking on someone for making a character that mimics another is uncalled for. That is just my opinion, I don't want to argue or anything, I just wanna stand up for a fellow artist. Anyways, I come up with ideas off the top of my head all the time, and I'm proud of them, draw them, write them, whatever, then someone accuses me of stealing them and I come to find out that a work that was published before I was born had the same idea, so I looked like an idiot. Just some brain food there, good picture by the way, I'd bring the outline out a bit more, to make it more animeish, not sure what your were going for though. Keep it up. | |
| 2 Aug 2001 | David "Scimitar" Auer | The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. Ecclesiastes 9 She may be nothing new, but she is enticingly drawn, which is good enough for me. | |
| 11 Oct 2001 | Heretic | Just wanted to say that this is by far the best of your work that I've seen. One thing though... what's with this whole quickness with which you claim that famous artists have plagerized your work? Chill out. The Mindscape is a Vast place, and it IS possible to cross territory that others have crossed without being a thief. Ex. The radio was invented in two places simultaneously... Marconi only got the patent. | |
| 25 Oct 2001 | Vindik8or | On the closest scimitar her thumb is on the wrong side. Try hold a sword like that, trust me it doesn't work. Otherwise brilliant. | |
| 5 Nov 2001 | David "Scientist" Auer | Nikolas Tessla actually came up with radio first. Unfortunately, his flamboyance lost him respect in the scientific community, allowing such injustices to prevail. A couple years ago Marconi's patent was overturned in superiour court. I guess what this says is that the history of ideas is murky and that charges of plagiarism generally require a fair amount of research to have any degree of legitimacy. Kimberly is definitely flamboyant, so she better have a good scimitar swing, otherwise many would take advantage of her. (Managing her assets shrewdly, she could just as easily take advantage of others.) I think she and Tessla would get along well, albeit anachronisticly, or at the very least cross culturally.) | |
