SciFi and Fantasy Art: Hourglass

Very original title eh? I'm just uploading to get something new up and get it out of my to-do list. I'll come up with a better title later and maybe even a colored version, though there won't be much color since the whole thing is pewter-ish metal, but we'll see.

Done with .5 mechanical pencil and micron ink (out of boredom and a need to fill my new sketchbook).

5 Feb 2007	EBL	Loading... My boyfriend had an hourglass that looked a little like that one... and I accidentally bumped into the big wooden thing it was sitting on and it fell off and broke. :-( My fault. But, anyway, this is a real good picture.
7 Feb 2007	Emma de Moel	Loading... WOW! Beautiful!!! Omg, the replication of the dragons is near perfect!! How do u do it? Especially since 2 of them are mirror image... I would never be able to do that. The variation of shades makes it look very real. The pouring sand is also very realistic... Overall WONDERFUL JOB. Oh and I love the wings.... I thought I was alright at making wings... seeing this made me realize how wrong I was =P
