SciFi and Fantasy Art: Alice

Yet ANOTHER unfinished picture brought to you by the biggest procrastinater in the world, yes that's right, Laina has another unfinished picture! Anywho.. this is a picture I started drawing for my friend Nate.. it's a picture of his character Alice in Shadowrun.. the Berserker Shark Shaman Elf. She's a pretty cool character. I tried doing comic book style drawing on this looking off of my favorite comic book 'Danger Girl' What do ya think? Ok Comic Book Style Art or no? P.S. I know.. the gun sucks.. I've never drawn a gun b4, I usually draw swords and such. If anyone has any tips on drawing guns PLEASE E-mail me. 2-h Pencil on bristol board

The gun doesn't look too bad from here, like you said, it's unfinished; it should flesh out once the drawing's finished. Yeah, it looks pretty much "comic book" style too 2 As far as tips on drawing guns--you could try checking out a book on firearmns from your local library--look at a photo of a real gun, break it down into geometric shapes so you know how it pieces together and render the gun from there =)

This is a very good example of comic book art. I'm very impressed. You should do more of this.

I also want to mention that "Danger Girl" is also one of my favorite comics. Good choice as a reference. Moree drawings like this would be great....

I think this drawing is very succesful. The only parts that seem not to fit are, in my opinion, the gun (as you pointed out) and the sole of her boot. As a whole this is a great drawing.

The comic-style has worked really well, and if I may be so bold as to say this, I think this is a better picture than the "Danger Girl" artist usually turns out! I'd like to see you do more in this style.
SR shamans occasionally manifest their totem animal in their facial features, and I could really see this girl's face becoming shark-like!

(She doesn't really work as a SR shaman-she doesn't have the fetishes and totemistic bits and pieces that she should. However, that's just me being picky and it really doesn't have anything to do with the picture, which is why we're here, and which is pretty bloomin' good!)

she kinda reminds me of Geena Davis....that was all I wanted to say, hehe! =^_^=

I have a friend who plays a psychotic elf mage called Alice. This is not too dissimilar at this stage. He used a picture of a czech model as his character picture. My character is a colour blind electrician, he's also a troll and rather dense.
