SciFi and Fantasy Art: Ravenne

I did this one years ago, but it's one of my few drawings that actually includes a background. It's done in colored pencils as well as ink-pen. The woman was a character of mine on an online roleplaying game. She was a were-bear and a self-proclaimed vampire-hunter. The shadow on the wall behind her is supposed to be significant, but I don't know if the scan is clear enough to see it.

Pfft! The second werebear that I've seen within one week, having previously gone several years without seeing any! Anyhoot. This is a really nicely coloured picture, and I love the devil-may-care expression on her face. The background is really gorgeous too.

And yes, the shadow does come out, although not *really* clearly, you can still see that it's a bear facing to the left, with one paw out at her chest height. Big claws. ^_^ I think this should go in for Mods choice.

*squints* OH! I see the bear now! *slaps the guy above me* I like this, the folds in her clothing are great, and same for the background.

Brilliant drape and fold in the clothes and the play of light on the fabric has a beautiful, rich quality to it.
