SciFi and Fantasy Art: Shatain Pendrag

This was done on the same paper that didn't take kindly to watercolors....it turned out pretty well despite the fact...I never got quite the same vibrent color of green as in the other picture but that was mainly due to the paper...I didn't want to ruin the picture.

I love your light-handedness with line and color but think some darker areas would really pop the picture out more....love the feeling in this and was curious...do you use references for your figures?
