SciFi and Fantasy Art: Goddess

Inspired one night by listening to 'One Night in Bankok' by Chess.. oddly enough. I just started sketching a pose that came to mind, then started to color it. I lacked any decent real life refrences... You can tell in the face there.. I was going to try to take a picture of my own face in that angle, but lacked the camera to do so.. It looks.. well enough I guess. I still really love it. And I worked hard on it, and I AM proud of it, and I see a lot of progress in this. Also the background, eh, think like a temple, an alter is behind her and offerings would be placed upon it. There's also a raised picture of the closed lotus behinde her, even though you can't see it. I need to do more in this style.. actually I have some that I'm working on, so I need to get hopping on that. Mature for Mamories OpenCanvas +3 Around 8 hours of work.

Hey this is super good. You didn't have a reference?? Damn then its better than super good. You did really well of the face. It sort of has an old tribal feel to it, the whole pic does.
The you pulled the pose off, and the lighting just makes this work so well.

Good job.

I'm tired of people giving rude comments. But I really like this pic. You noted detail very well, and it turned out really nice... The back ground reminds me of the gallows honestly...

Good work!

I'm impressed! the face looks fine to me. She's in motion, probably a bit blurred, and there is some kind of magical aura about her, so I don't why we should expect a clear view anyhow (not we need an explanation).

I really love the flow of motion going on, it's amazing.

A note on the comment made on the 'change of beauty over time', I figure beauty has always been set at a level that the current people have difficulty achieveing. Way back when, many were dying of starvation so people were used to seeing stick-thin figures, so the pleasantly-plump were beautiful. Nowdays, food is in surplus and many find themselves on the heavier side, so our natural insticts tell us to go for the ones that stand out the most. For some reason I felt like sharing some useless but interesting information. 10
