SciFi and Fantasy Art: Dancing Snake Woman/ Naga Kenya

I took the old picture and redid it with a computer paint program. I asked fellow Bifrost artist, Jessica Schreib. Jessica was able to tell me about the Indian goddess, Naga Kenya who is daughter/Princess of the Ocean, leader of a people and protector of the those who travel on Water. I think it would be nice to add our pictures to an Indian god/godess tour.

The blurry effects on this picture are way cool! Naga are really interesting creatures. You did the snake part really well too! good job!

:-) Audrey S. Totire replies: "When I started drawing this I wasn't even thinking of it being an actual goddess until someone told me. Thanks!"

Thats it, you're too talented for your own good!

*takes talent*

There, that oughtta fix ya!

*runs to corner and peeks greedily at stolen talent*

:-) Audrey S. Totire replies: "Arrrgh! So that explains the way I have been feeling. Nothing that a cup of coffee can't cure *Smiles*....thanks!"

I really like the sense of movement in this! She really looks like she's dancing. XD Although, I wouldn't want to get too close... Those swords look rather menacing. You depicted the whole snake/woman thing very well, I think, both anatomically and aesthetically (if that makes any sense at all, but anyway). ^^ Really nice!

:-) Audrey S. Totire replies: "I remember when I was drawing this one out that I was listening to Madonna. I think since I had learned a few better art programs I was hoping to improve the picture, but that's another thing that I've thrown into the back burner....Thanks!"

For some reason, my favorite part of this drawing is her arms and the swords. I really like her pose, too.

Now this is simply beautiful. Not only did you capture the perfect mix between snake and human, but you made it beautiful as well!
