SciFi and Fantasy Art: Quarrel Goodwynd

This is the creation that my friend, Richard thought up and this is my interpretation of the auburn-haired, argumentative half-elf. This began as a pencil sketch and was colored in using PC Paintbrush. (1999)

Actually I was watching Cerena skinnydipping in the lake and was just enjoying the view!

Hmmm... Looks like someone's been reading too much "ElfQuest..."

i'd swear i've heard that name somewhere but i can't seem to place it - maybe jsut the style of it - no not elfquest - (which is cool too but very different kind of naming conventions) - no the context of the name is definately more 'traditional' 'high fantasy'-ish of some kind (possibly humorous high fantasyish) - well no matter - lime suade trues i like muchly and wish i had a pair of my own ... ~12

The name "Quarrel Goodwynd" comes from the nature of the Character. Quarrel comes from the outward nature of the character but "Goodwynd" is a descriptor of the true nature of the character.

Lovely effect. Looks like water color. I like the softness of it. Good pose, good composition.

This picture is really sweet 2 reminds me of lazy days spent day dreaming in the sun perched high in a tree 2 he's very handsome and the colors you choose are just perfect for this picture and the setting 2 all I can really say about your work now is 'wow' and 'amazing' 2 you're so talented!

:-) Audrey S. Totire replies: "thank you!--I found that using the PC paintbrush --it was like painting without paint(I sure did get cramps in my wrist from painting with the mouse though--I'll stick to the real deal!)"

Nicely done. Kind of reminds me of Robin Goodfellow, from A Midsummer Night's Dream. Something about his legs seems a little off to me, but his top half has nice proportions. Very cute!

:-) Audrey S. Totire replies: "Thank you--It is an old pic. I don't think I will do too many more PC Paintbrush pictures like this one. There are lots of things off. "

I could be wrong but he's face reminds me of frodo form lord of the rings (BTW it's very nice) 2

:-) Audrey S. Totire replies: "Which version? I've seen the three versions but I could not be inspired by any of them...the latest movies came out after I did this and I didn't see the cartoon versions until later. But no matter. Thanks for the comment"

WOW! he remind me of Redlance from Elfques...

:-) Audrey S. Totire replies: "Someone else said that previously. At the time I don't believe I have seen anything Elfquest. Old pic...old news "
