SciFi and Fantasy Art: Believe

I had a vision of a faerie lady bathed in shades of blue. When I decided to paint what I saw I wanted her to hold something in her outstretched arms and I thought a banner saying something inspiring. Everything seemed trite and then I thought about my friends. Friends are inspiring and good friends are so few, and so far between. Believe is a good word. Friends teach you to believe in yourself when you have nothing to believe in. March 7, 2003. (Watercolor pencils and paints combined--again no black!)

I love the colours in this..it reminds me of an Amy Brown painting with a faery in fornt of a banner saying believe, you should look at it sometime..I love this though, the yellow and the blue together look really cool Audrey S. Totire replies: "I actually saw the Amy Brown "Believe" Faerie after I did this piece. I had it in my mind to do a bunch of drawings with some inspirational word connected to them, but I'm way too late...idea was already used up!...Check out Wendy Lawson's gallery.
