SciFi and Fantasy Art: Lutino LoveBirds in Space

....or should I call it 'NASA'--National Avian Space Administration? I did this for another Bifrost tour 'Sci-Fi'. Sci-Fi is interesting but not exactally my strongest point. This was done entirly in Photoshop using various pictures that I took throughout my files...even the balloon was a picture I had taken at a balloon festival at nighttime. I think this would make an interesting story if any of you writers want to write about Lovebirds in Space *LOL*

This is really great, really silly, but still great. It is so strange and surreal, I love it.

:-) Audrey S. Totire replies: "Maybe I should have added a few Klingons in there, perhaps? I've seen a lot of nice space scenes done with Photoshop and I am too new to it to have it figured out. Thanks for your comment!"

That dog photo looks like the F14 pilot! >8-)

:-) Audrey S. Totire replies: "*LOL* She may as well be. I've taken her for walks before."

Two lovebirds escaping the malevolant stares of dog and cat space energies in an egg-shaped ship, powered by an air-filled balloon... O_o. Trippy (but in a good way!)--it's an original idea that's really "out there", even for something that's in outer space ^_^...

That spaceship and its occupants are just too cute. Are all those animals your pets? Just curious ^_^
I like how you blended the photographs and the more "paint-y" background. The balloon may be a bit sharp in comparison to the rest of the picture, but it also gives this picture a nice collage feel that suits its content.
Nice work! ^_^

2 Audrey S. Totire replies: "I like your interpretation. I admit I had a lot of fun putting this together. They aren't my pets. I love taking pictures of animals I work with. These guys have a special place in my heart. *LOL* a lot of my creations are very trippy. The trippier the better! I agree with what you are saying about the balloon. I am not that happy with it, but what can I say? I was still experimenting with Photoshop (and still am). It is pretty silly. Thanks for your comment!"

*lol* this is so weird2!!! I love the birds "flying" the most - it's weird to see them like that because they could fly on their own2!

1 Audrey S. Totire replies: "But they can't fly in outer space! They need their special space suits on, but even so they aren't safe from the dog and cat planet! (thanks for commenting2 )"

This would make a fantastic mural in a vet's office or animal shelter, etc!

Just add some hamster comets and a rabbit in a space suit and you got yourself something people would hire you to paint on their boring old wall.

I'm serious!

:-) Audrey S. Totire replies: "That would be a fun idea 1"

The way the birds are peering out is fun, though they're missing the cat and the dog planet looking that way.
