SciFi and Fantasy Art: Dragon

I know how much dragons are valued in fantasy and role-play. The dragons of olde Europe represented darkness and evil...something for the hero to overcome; while the dragons of the orient represented good luck, wisdom and protection. To me, a dragon represents my own personal aggressions (If you are ever in an angry mood draw a nasty fire-breathing beast, you may feel a little better!) This dragon is my stereo-typical dragon: reptillian, winged, lots of teeth, scales, claws, so on. It is done in watercolor and india ink (and drawn on sandwich wrap I stole from the sub shop I used to work for.)

How could you stand doing all those scales?

Sandwich wrap paper sounds pretty good 9 At least the pics you have done on it have nice color. Kinda yellowishbrownish. But that dragon really looks good. More original than I'm used to see. Looks like a mix of manykinds of dragons. At first I saw it like an oriental dragon... but then I saw it as something else. Anyways, great job.

I hate drawing dragons. I simply have no patience for drawing the scales so I have to say WOWEE!! Those things must have taken about three million years. Great job!
I like this one and I absolutely LOVE his claws. Scary claws. Yes they are.

You're a fantastic artist. I'm only leaving a comment on one piece because I'm getting offline now but I'll try to come back. Beautiful work!

I like how you draw things on sub wraps, it gives it sort of a drawn-on-parchment look which is very very nice!

I'd draw a nasty dragon if I could draw at all...

This one is also very fair but it has many bird traits.

:-) Audrey S. Totire replies: "birds can be dragon like. This picture is more than 6 years old. It's one of my first to go up in Elfwood."
