| 29 Mar 2003 | The_Elven_Maiden | You put my common feelings into a perfect picture, now i have something to see in my mind's-eye when i get mad, thanks. Audrey S. Totire replies: "*S*--Sometimes we need these kind of drawings no matter how we like to see the pretty side of life. It's therapy and a reminder for the narrow minded to open their eyes a little. thanks--your comment meant a lot to me!" | |
| 2 Apr 2003 | Jessica Vertz | This is a beautiful (albeit sad) picture. It came as kind of a shock to me though because i didn't notice the scizors right away. | |
| 4 Jul 2003 | Caffiene | Beautiful, and sad, but it reminds me of the book growing wings because they cut off the mom's wings when she was little Audrey S. Totire replies: "---Like the graffiti in Pleasantville (winged books)./// Sometimes we suffer wounds in life. The scars remain so that we can learn and be mindful. " | |
| 28 Jan 2004 | ChadMichaelMurray's_BabyMama | HAHHAHA! u made me laugh...but how sad poor kid...hahahaa funny picture..hahahahahahahhahahahahah!..but so sad...ahahhahaha...really it is...hahahahah ..i like it is very different ..hahahahha! ..ur original alright..^_^ Audrey S. | 3 Jun 2004 | Brian L. Husted | This is a very powerful image that you have created. It is both beautiful and sad. Well done, you are truly talented in many ways. Audrey S. Totire replies: "Thanks..notice that I had to EXPLAIN the meaning? Just as you got some nasty comments about your drums I got brainless comments here too. You know, I think if more people take vitamin B-12 and load up on their Omega 3 the world would be a happier place, don't you think?" | |
| 17 Jun 2004 | Leif Eriksson | I totally agree with Brian, powerful, beautiful and sad. Knowing the full intention behind it makes it an even more powerful picture. Hopefully, those atrocities will be eradicated in the future. And soon! Audrey S. Totire replies: "I gope you come look at my new picture when my ticket block is removed...it's like a bit of a continuation of the same piece. Thank you for a great comment!" | |
| 13 Jul 2004 | Nathaniel S. Summers | Nice. The wings, of course, representing her fredom are being clipped so that she cannot fly away, her inslavement. Her fredom stripped from her even though the wings remain as a reminder. Notice also that wings must be cut regularly. I am not sure how often but the feathers do grow back, this would represent the constant beating down of the weak. The one's with the scissors keep cliping the wings of the weak to keep them just that, weak. What is it they are so afraid of? Why would someone be so possesive? Wow, this piece says quite a bit, raises some interesting questions. Audrey S. Totire replies: "I appreciate this comment that you are seeing more than I could explain. It takes a very sympathetic soul to see all those things (I think Birds normally get their wings clipped a couple times a year. Depends on the bird. Feathers are like hair--that's besides the point!) Thanks!" | |
| 29 Oct 2005 | Anon. | Oh, hey. Just so you know, it's me doin' the snipping. XD Audrey S. Totire replies: "In that case you made the picture more interesting" | |
| 3 Feb 2006 | Stephanie S. K. Marbach | Oooooooh, this makes me feel soooo bad for her ...!!! | |
| 22 Apr 2006 | Anonymous | yet you state "the weaker sex" take a look at the movement, women are taking things and running with them.
I am a man btw, and I just think that you might want to throw a supposed or some such word in there. | |
