SciFi and Fantasy Art: Grim Cricket Reaper: My Bifrost twisted self portrait

So I am making fun at myself here. We all have to see some humor in our lives. I have people tell me regularly how they envy my job....Well to be downright honest, daily I send hundreds of poor innocent crickets back from wence they came. Yes, not only crickets am I weighing the scales and chosing who lives and who dies but worms, mice, and rats---I cannot look into their eyes---I just do my job. As far as the outstanding artistry goes I have lost access to my PC Paintshop program so I was unable to clean this up the way I intended to. June '04...Oh yes...as for the woodchuck...this is the rare Bermuda kind. I am also Bifrost's honorary Woodchuck Fact Finder--know the facts!. I am studying them closely to determine just how much wood a woodchuck can chuck...IF a woodchuck could chuck wood. It's a job. Got to love it!

I love this! It is so bizarre and so funny, this is great. I really like the rare Bermuda woodchuck, this is wonderful. Nice addition to the Bifrost tour.

:-) Audrey S. Totire replies: "Arrgh! I knew I spelled Bermuda incorrectly!!! Oh well...Yah--I know it is corny and kind of slopped together...Thanks!"

I love this picture Audrey, I like your sense of humor!!

It is such a great picture and the detail and over all "meaning" behind it. Great job...

:-) Audrey S. Totire replies: "Thanks, Trint!....It was kind of funny but I was at work thinking about what I would choose to do for this project, when I was asked to get crickets. It was like that was right under my nose....There are a few other appalling things that I do, but there are also nice things like giving love and attention to creatures. I like to go the extra mile to be sensitive to an animal's need. Gotta take the good with the bad sometimes"

Wow...it's just like a page from a scrapbook....

Can I get a discount on the woodchuck?

:-) Audrey S. Totire replies: "....But the woodchuck is already on SALE!---That's a bargain at any price! ---Origionally I had intended to put borders around the animals to make them look like they were in cages but I am lacking my art program so I thought it was okay to leave it. Thanks!"

Hey Audrey...I love the way your unique personality comes out in all your work and this is a great self-portrait...a really unique idea with bits and pieces of jokes from Bifrost...so mcuh fun and such a great pic for the project! *hugs the Reaper*

:-) Audrey S. Totire replies: "I was saying I really slopped this one together. I no longer have my art program to clean it up (I was going to put the animals in cages)...Then I discovered I spelled Bermuda wrong...DRAT!---Anyway, I hope to get another pic up that's a little more serious--Thanks...*is always humbly serving the almighty Queen of Cornballs!*---"

I love the looks of horror on the little cricket faces! And the Bermuda woodchuck! *snicker* I think that if you ever turned your hand to a web comic, it would be both very funny and have great art. 12

:-) Audrey S. Totire replies: "It's quite a choppy piece that I left unfinished...but it was all in fun. (If you aren't familiar or part of Bifrost check it out by clicking "Bifrost" under my links)Thanks!"

Hey....great ideal...but i'm one, that can do without all the bugs and wiggly things...keep up the good work....

:-) Audrey S. Totire replies: "I would rather deal with bugs and wiggly things over some other jobs out there. I think sitting behind an office desk in a cramped little cubical would be horrible!"
