| 23 Dec 2002 | Alicea Rea Tresidder | I like the way he is sitting on one haunch. A much better job than I could hope to do. Audrey S. Totire replies: "Thank you for your comment....BUT --After I checked out YOUR gallery I KNOW for a fact that you can turn out much better stuff than I have. ~*Mutters in a jealousy fit!!*~...Your work is stunning and you are a very talented and well cultured.....So after I loaded this one up I see lots of flaws and should take him down. It seems scanned on an angle, gravity doesn't seem right either. ~*Bannishes me to starving artist hell for eternity!!*~" | |
| 18 Mar 2003 | Heather A. Wright | Ohhhhhhh! I love the feel of this pic. It reminds me of the old-fashioned illustrations you'd find in old books and bestiaries. Kinda Victorian-y, only with more attention to detail and better proportions. The color job is awesome. | |
| 8 Sep 2003 | Joelle Duran | I think you did a great job on the forefeet. And the twist of the head is very avian. It would look super portrayed as a manuscript illumination. | |
| 12 Jan 2004 | Judit 'Original' Smits | He is wonderfull! And how detailed! It must have taken you ages! | |
| 24 Jun 2004 | Carrie 'Tiger's Eye' Johnson | I'm jealous, because the gryphons I draw are nowhere near this great. Wonderful drawing! Audrey S. Totire replies: "Now don't be jealous!---I had a discussion with someone once about how this thing looked like a chicken!--Thanks!" | |
| 11 Oct 2004 | Jessica L. Stachyra | Nice details on the feathers and the forefeet! And great coloring, your griffon is fantastic! | |
| 30 May 2006 | Barbara J. Wickham | Like some other folks have noted your griffy has a very *classical* feel to it. I like how you also gave him a more casual, natural pose like he was sketched while in his native environment. What would be great is if you can later add notes and other sketches in the margins like this is a page out of an explorer's journal. | |
