SciFi and Fantasy Art: Saxifragaceae (My daughter...the elf)

I have been taking a digital painting and drawing class and I love it. For this assignment I was to make a normal portrait of someone and the second I could be creative. If I were to pull off the layers from this I have a normal picture of my daughter. Here are the two pictures side by side: Before and After. If I had mre time to work on it I would have made a few modifications. It is kind of cute that way. This is a photo taken of the print out. If I can figure a way to send the origional digital pic here I'll do it. 11-04

Interesting work. She makes a feisty lookin’ elfin lass. *Looks at before and after shots* that is cool. It may just be the scan, my monitor or the reduction in resolution when converted to jpeg format, but her lips seem non-existent in these pics.

Anyway, happy holidays to you and yours, Audrey. I hope this season finds you well. Take care, Andrew

:-) Audrey S. Totire replies: "Thanks Andrew! I apologize that I hadn't the best equipment. The picture was created on a Mac. I was unable to transfer it to my PC so I used my digital camera take pictures of the prints, so there is quite a bit missing from the origional. Somehow I will find a way to transfer the images. Hope you have been having a great holiday! Thanks and take care!"

I think you do such lovely digital painting! As in all your colored works...I love the way you use many vibrant colors to create a lively image...full of energy and beauty. Great pic! *smiles*

:-) Audrey S. Totire replies: "Part of the assignment was to use the digital impasto so that is why it lacks a smoothness about it (I thought I would add that)--Thanks again!"
