| 24 Jun 2004 | Silver Griffin | Ahh, now my vote definitely goes for the lioness. I love Unicorns, too. But, as a Leo, I have to support a fellow lioness. *Cheers* Anyway, this is awesome, the coloring is pretty, & the description rocks! Great work! Audrey S. Totire replies: "....I guess what trots and grazes today will prowl and roar tomorrow *G*---Thanks for your great comment!" | |
| 24 Jun 2004 | Mysterymeekz | Hahaha...I lvoe your description...So truly evil. Its so much better then the cliche: Dragon and unicorn. ^_^ nice colors Audrey S. Totire replies: "Ahhh--some things are evil some things are just as they will be....The lioness didn't care who the unicorn thought she was. She was still dinner! Thanks!" | |
| 24 Jun 2004 | Nadia Sultan | Nooooooooo not the unicorn! I know lions and unicorns don't get along but I didn't know they eat each other!!!!!!! Yet again its a fantasic water colour and lots of skill involved! Audrey S. Totire replies: "Thanks. I purposely kept it loose to show some aggression (Can you tell what kind of mood I was in when I sketched it out? *LOL*)" | |
| 28 Jun 2004 | Rane A. Henry | Hahaha! I LUF this pic. It's very original and i really like the comment above.lol. | |
| 3 Jul 2004 | taylor | I think it is absouluty horible Audrey S. Totire replies: "It's okay. No animal was really harmed during the creation of this picture " | |
| 2 Aug 2004 | France G. Trudel | *lol* Ok I really like the concept here. I'm not one to adore unicorns, but I loooove dangerous kitties. Go kitty go! ( what? He has to eat too.. think of how the grass feals when the unicorns eats it? think of the grass!! ) P.S. ^_^ great job. Audrey S. Totire replies: "Funny...when I read your comment I suddenly started to think about Elton John singing "The CIRRRRR-CLE of LIIIIIFE...." and King Mufasa (sp?) explaining to little Simba about the antelope" *L*. Thanks--I haven't regretted putting this picture up here at all." | |
| 24 Dec 2005 | Psycho | Don't like this kind of predators, it could be much better as two separate images: unhurt unicorn and hungry lioness! How can you draw this? This is too cruel, too bloody, this is absolutely unacceptable! You should quit wasting your nice talent! ;-( Audrey S. Totire replies: "I appreciated that you say I have talent but I don't feel it is being wasted here. If you understand the artist's intentions then you might appreciate the picture better. I don't hate unicorns but at the time I drew this picture, unicorns represented something else to me. Should the lioness bow down and adore the unicorn for her beauty or perfection and go hungry? Is the unicorn too regal and superior for the commoness of the lioness?--- If I were to show the two separate and the unicorn unhurt my message would not be so powerful. I was meaning to go for the juglar. Thanks for your comment. I have no problem explaining my motives. " | |
| 22 Mar 2006 | Ski | Hahaha! Lion's hungry. (people are too passive. In life you don't give a damn for anyone. Just spray them with some lead from a machine gun and problem solved![war does stuff to ya]) Audrey S. Totire replies: "I guess you are speaking truth. I don't own a machine gun though...maybe I should invest in one. I mean this isn't a pretty picture and why should I be sorry I created something so disturbing to look at? One lion kills one uni and is fed, but how many people are killed senselessly for no reason for something political?" | |
| 30 May 2006 | Barbara J. Wickham | Very striking picture. Killing for the sake of killing is wasteful. Killing to survive is natural and it happens every day. You have created a beautiful and brutal example of *reality* here. Audrey S. Totire replies: "It was also a kind of metaphor to me at the time. I was kind of upset with someone so I was thinking, forget all this pomp and circumstance --you do what you do when you are in need. When the mother lioness is hungry she will fight to survive.--Thanks!" | |
| 22 Jun 2006 | EternalFire | Loverly, its wonderful!!! <33 | |
