| 15 Jul 2005 | Louise Lindgren | *does the first comment salute* Well.... I guess wet dreams could indeed have been an alternative title. The question remains though on who's dream it is. ;-) I root for the wonderful mer-woman in that case. She (if it is a 'she' that is, otherwise I'm in big trouble looks a bit as if she's daydreaming of something, pondering over some playful thought that just crossed her mind. Perhaps the viewer thought the same? Excellent work here, Audrey, and definitelly excellent details. It must have taken a long time with all those scales. I really like the gils for some reason, they look so neat and 'fishy'... I'm a bit bothered by the head though. The chin and the eye are a bit on the large side, and the the forehead looks a little small. It's nitpicks really, I think you have done a great work in any case. Audrey S. Totire replies: "*Salutes you in return*~ When I started this picture it was left just a plain sketch of perhaps a woman's head. I came back to it much later and decided to make it this complex merperson drawing which I swayed more towards a male youth who's about to swim out of the kelp to be with the young females. I realize that I didn't indicate his gender anywhere in my description. That doesn't matter though, but he does remind me of a boy about 14. Unfortunately my scanner was smaller than the picture and much of the detail got cropped off. Thank you for making a first and a very good comment!" | |

| 9 Jun 2006 | Gully Dwarves Rule | *******They remind me of the Dargonesti (The water elves) in the Dragonlance series.***** Audrey S. Totire replies: "Never saw it, but maybe someday I will check it out. It's funny when people tell me that my style reminds me of things I had never seen or heard of, like i never read any of Terry Pratchet's stuff until someone told me that "Willy The Henchman" I drew was like a Pratchet character.--Thanks!--I promise I didn't steal anyone's idea!" | |
