SciFi and Fantasy Art: Healerman

My Healerman, Asclepius, at prayer. One of the first decent pictures I've ever managed to draw of him…. He is probably the most religious character I have, but then, that's the thing with my healers, they all tend to be religious, since their magic is most closely linked to the divine…. Except for his mother, she's not religious at all…. And they are the most likely to actually call down a god for a conversation. Anyway, here he is, praying, probably to save his love during one of the (many) times she gets all banged up to the point of bad. Asclepius is one of the ten most powerful healers in Britain. Actually, he's probably in the top five. His cousin Sol is THE most, but then, Sol is half god… But back to Clep. Isn't he Puuuurdy? Kind of a study in wacked out lighting. I like it.

I like the cross/angel...thingy-muah-jig... And the muscles are well drawn.. done really like that blackish markings but... thats just me....

23 Aurora O'Neill replies: "*~*~*Part of ACAM*~*~* Ah, BRi, bless your little Christian heart. It's not a cross or an angle. It's a Caduceus, a winged staff with a pair of serpents forming a double helix around it. It is the standard of doctors and healers dating back to ancient greece. You can still findit on medical buildings today. It is also the symbol of the National Cancer Foundation, I think. That said, Thank you very much. "

So that's what Clep looks like. You started it off in England, so I had this long enduring image of Clep and his sister as very, very white.

Love the muscles, by the way. Very nicely done.

23 Aurora O'Neill replies: ".... odd, so did I..... 10 Yeah, it's fun. See, now you know what he looks like. And thank you. "
