SciFi and Fantasy Art: Vindictia et Bona DeaVindictia et Bona Dea, two of the most unusual ships you will ever encounter. The Vindictia, Latin for Vengeance, is an independent man-o-war, captained by a half god carpenter. The Bona Dea, Latin for the Good Goddess, is a Merchantman, and has only three crewmembers (five, if you count dogs). The captain is Diana, the little sister of the captain of the Vindictia. Her first mate is Rurik the Werewolf, and the other member of the crew is Eponine, a vampire. Eponine's parents are crewmembers on the Vindictia.

Aurora O'Neill replies: "Because their pretty that way, and don't you remember? The Vindictia has very lightly perple tinted sails. Probably somewhere along the same lines as why Little Rolandis called the Plumrogue...."
| 29 Apr 2006 | Zoiemonster | I see my favorite werewolf!!! Aurora O'Neill replies: "Who couldn't, with that shock of hair?" | |
| 1 May 2006 | Zoiemonster | Which hair are you talking about? and who said I was looking at his hair? Aurora O'Neill replies: "*shakes head* HEAD hair! The RED hair. " | |
| 2 May 2006 | Tia | *shiny comment for ya* I couldn't help myself, these two are gorgous. alas that my petty scetches aren't, and probably never will be, as lovely as your illustrations. what a strange coincedince that I should happen on your pages. My own nautical obsession started after I got to live on my cousins boat for a month, and my love of scottish history, though mostly unpersued, has been with me even longer. Tia Aurora O'Neill replies: "Thank you for the comment, and the compliment. I envy you for your (however brief) stay on a boat. The closest thing I've ever gotten to actual sailing was a really really boring cruise on a second rate cruise ship.... Tankoo for the comment, again, and be sure to come back and snoop around!" | |
| 7 Aug 2006 | Gillian J. McCarron | The sails on the boats are lovely. Very detailed. Aurora O'Neill replies: "Thank you." | |
| 8 Aug 2006 | Bri | Very pretty ships, I like the sails. However ....The small people are not your strong point... sorry Aurora O'Neill replies: "Ech, I was just trying to give a relation as to size, ye ken..." | |
