SciFi and Fantasy Art: Second Version of Personal Symbol

This version of the hawk symbol was created sometime in 1978. I had just been assigned to my permanent duty station in Hawaii. While walking around Waikiki, I saw a Japan Airlines symbol, which is a circular stylized design of a crane. I liked the design, so I drafted it up and replaced the crane's head with a hawk's. I thought it was pretty spiffy at the time, but the final design blew it away.

9 Mar 2006	Will Pell	Loading... Sweeeet. Makes me think of the Phoenix Clan symbol for Legend of the Five Rings (an old favorite of mine), but quite different at the same time. Nice.
