SciFi and Fantasy Art: Moonshadow

This is a picure of an assassin I used to play in a game. Note that the hood is similar in design as the elven ninja, Starshadow's. Done on 110 lb. cardstock with pencil, black marker and pen and ink.

aaww.. I was Hoping that this pic was inspired by Kat Stevens 14 Anyhoo, This is one pretty cool pic i must say; It looks like it should be in one of those ENGINE (I think they still print that) or any other RPG book. KUTGW

Where's his left arm? I'd imagine we'd see it behind him , to keep his balance, and , euh.. if it was within his cloak, drawing it aroun him, it wouldn't be shdowed like that.. know what I'm sying? I thought about it being behind his back.. but then I said ' why in the world would an assasin be doing that? ' possibly.. uh.. drawing a dagger.. outta his butt pocket? Otherwise, it's really good. like how you shaded the face.

Nice effects with the deep shadowing. It reminds me of a Marvel character from the 80s, Moonknight.

Actually, I just got lazy and thought I could hide the left arm. Then I inked it before I decided to do something with that side. So I thought of saying that the arm was just behind him, sort of propping him up away from the wall. oopsie

Hmmm, as for the arm thing, I have been RPing for almost six years now, and in any RPG I play, I have an assassin-type character. And any of my assassins would consider this position, I mean, when I first saw this drawing I thought it was a female, with breasts, then I considered it an arm, and thought, well, that perhaps he could be haboring another shuriken under his cloak/cape, and apon being startled perhaps drawing it and having both arms ready to do some serious pin the tail on teh donkey. And, until now, lol, about a year later, lol, I read the comments and saw the one about maybe teh arm is behind him, for balance, that is also good, but then the breast/chest issue comes back into play. So over all, I not being teh artist and all, cannot tell you exactly what he is doing in this picture, but I can say that it is one bad-azz picture and I love it. Heck, I have used it for about four characters lol. *Gives a shout-out to Avery F. Wells*

I thought it was a female... And the left arm was just under the cloak (that beeing the reason why the cloak stood out like it does)

but very well done, i really like the shadowing it gives it an eerie look

I thoroughly enjoy this assassin... he's a party and a half. Its definitely male... the shoulders are too broad to be a woman and the arms too "muscular" (not exactly the word I was aiming for, but it'll serve the point)... I would say the left arm is tucked behind the right one, like he's holding his stomach in a way. Its shadowed so you wouldnt see it even though its right there. I actually tried it out.. it works.
